 50سنت متولد جامائيكا است هنگامي 8 ساله بود پدر و مادرش از هم تلاق گرفتند و مادربزرگش سرپرستي او را بر عهده گرفت كمي پس از آن به وسيله ي دوستانش با رپ آشنا شد در سال 1990 به دليل دزدي به زندان افتاد پس ار اين كه از زندان آزاد شد با رپر مشهور Jay-z  و  Nas  آشنا شد و چند آهنگ را با آن ها خواند كمي بعد كمپاني Trackmaster با او قرار داد امضا مي كند و 50سنت بلاخره در سال 1999 آليوم اول خود را ''power of the dollar بيرون مي دهد اما  در آهنگ''How to rob'' به گانگستر هاي است سايد توهين مي كند  و با اين كار جنجالي در 24 مي سال 2000 توسط گروهي از است سايد ترور مي شود و 9 تير به بدن او برخورد مي كند از اين 9 تير 7 عدد به پايه او 1 به ريه و 1 يه شكمش برخورد مي كند اما او به طرز معجزه آسايي زنده مي ماند او 2 سال از رپ دور مي شود و سپس با ''Lloyd Banks وtony yayo گروه چي يونيت را تشكيل
 مي دهد و بعد آلبوم ''guess who's back again' را براي مخالفينش اجرا كرد   كه باعث شد رپرهاي نيويوركي از او حمايت كنند او سپس آلبوم  ''50cent is the future'' و nomercy no fearرا بيرون داد سپس با eminem  وdr dre آشنا مي شود و چند كار با آن ها اجرا مي كندو 50سنت آلبوم ''Get rich or die tryin'' را بيرون مي دهد و به موفقيت فوق العاده اي ميرسد كه بيشتر موفقيت آن از آهنگ in da Club بود فروش آلبوم در 5 روز 872000 نسخه بود كه باعث تعجب همه شد او با تور هاي بزرگ معروف تر مي شود و به عنوان بهترين رپر سال بر گزيده مي شود سپس او چند آلبوم هم با گروهش جي يونيت بيرون داد و يه موفقيتي رويايي رسيد  او سپس با the game آشنا مي شود و به او كمك مي كند تا آلبومي بيرون دهد بعد از آن در اول سال 2005 آلبوم massacre را بيرون مي دهدكه جديدترين آلبوم اين رپر بزرگ است و بسيار موفق مي شود به هر حال او در حال حاضر از بزگان رپ محسوب مي شود
